Laura Tyler Strawn is an artist living in Kansas City, Missouri with her husband Travis, dog Luna, cat Bear, and their chickens. Laura holds a BFA in Studio Art from Truman State University and an MFA in Studio Art from the University of Missouri. Over the last ten years, Laura has taught a variety of art classes at the University of Missouri, the Kansas City Art Institute - Continuing Education Program, Central Missouri State University, KC Clay Guild, and Benedictine College. Laura has served on the KC Clay Guild’s board for the past 7 years and is passionate about the Clay Guild’s mission to make access to ceramic arts more accessible to everyone, including underserved communities, in the Kansas City community.
